kids furniture
djackal1 asked:

so i was watching the news and a couple that just had their 5th kid living in a 2 bedroom apartment got a bunch of free furniture because of “hard times”
why do people think they are deserving of that?

…i’m in my 30s, i’m still a virgin (by choice-not till i’m married), i have a good job. no one wants to give me a handout, nor do i want one. i worked my **** off to get to where i am today. why do people who are living beyond their means purposefully deserving of such help? i can’t see it, someone explain it to me.
well the virgin thing was by my choice, and i only mentioned it because i’m not overrun with kids like that tv lady was…

Sorry to hear you are a virgin, no wonder you feel so bitter about everything. Maybe you will be more lucky in the new year.

Nowadays we have something called ‘contraception’, there are a range of options between virginity and breeding like a rabbit.

Your being a virgin has nothing to do with the question.

Can’t explain it. It would make sense if someone was pregnant and then suddenly found out it was triplets and not 1……but you are correct…it doesn’t make sense. Single people have just as much a hard time as people with babies….babies raise the sympathy factor….that to me is wrong.

I have never understood it either. They get rewarded for making irresponsible decisions and people who are wiser get nothing. Me for example, in my state, which is Arkansas, I qualify for state help since I have a child. This help would be FREE insurance for my child and it’s call AR Kids First. But guess what? I have not applied for it and never will. Instead I have $68 taken out of my paycheck every week for family insurance through my work. I don’t get to buy some things that I want, but I’m not letting people’s taxes take care of me. Plus, I can afford cable TV and internet, an apartment, a car, birth control, etc. so I just don’t understand why I can even qualify. I think many people are like me in regards to financial standing. They make enough money to support themselves. But instead are too irresponsible so they take handouts when it is not necessary. Makes me furious.
